On August 10th, our family rejoiced when Nicole gave birth to her second child. Weighing in at just under 11 pounds, Griffin Thomas joined his big brother, Brock, and Nicole earned the admiration of everyone!
Three days later Nicole underwent a breast biopsy and we all held our breath praying it was only an infection. On August 14th, Nicole and her entire family were blindsided with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
This coming week will be filled with scans, tests and appointments. Chemo will begin the following week. My goal is to update this website as much as possible & hopefully Nicole will also do so when she is ready.

Nicole-
We have heavy hearts here in NW Iowa. We are praying for you daily and hoping for the best prognosis possible and successful treatments. We also pray for Brian as this is devastating to watch your wife go through; feeling like you always have to be strong for her.
Nicole, I know you will be a fighter; you are blessed to have a wonderful, supportive family on both sides and those two beautiful boys to make you smile.
Hang in there this week, I'll be thinking of you as you undergo testing; then you can get on with your fight!
