Smooth Sailing

Today is the third "post-chemo" day for Nicole. Those with experience have told her it would be the day she may feel the worst. She did feel very tired & drained today but Bryan was able to leave work early so she could rest. As of ten minutes ago, she was feeling much better.

Considering she is getting up every 2 hours all night long with Griffin, I think she's doing excellent! In Bryan's defense, he is more than willing to get up with the baby but sleeps right through his cries and Nicole doesn't wake him up-atleast that's what he claims;)

Nicole hair is still all there. I've offered several times to cut it into a mohawk and dye it purple-just for fun! I guess that's not her idea of fun though. Bryan shaved his head tonight to show his support.

On Tuesday Nicole went to visit her coworkers to let them know what is going on. She's always been such a dedicated worker and going back to work is very important to her. Of course, they were very supportive and I think it helped relieve some anxiety. I can tell from listening to her talk over the past several years that she loves her job and her coworkers.

At the request of several people, I've opened an account at Wells Fargo for Nicole. Any money donated will be used to help Nicole and Bryan with medical costs, fuel, bills, etc. If interested, you can stop by any Wells Fargo bank and make a deposit to The Nicole Johnson Benefit Account. I know it will be greatly appreciated!

Things are pretty quiet right now and that is a good thing! Keep the prayers coming!

If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell. ~Lance Armstrong

Nicole is a very strong woman and always has a smile. I also want to let her know that she and her family are in my family's thoughts and prayers as well. Hang in there as I always say it can only get better. I am glad that you have a great support system. See you very soon.

Best regards,
