Dramatic Changes

Dramatic changes is what I was told this morning by my oncologist's nurse. She said that the PET scan showed NO CANCER, all was gone! I asked if that was normal after two rounds of treatment and she said no not usually, they expect the tumors to shrink, but not to have it all GONE. She was baffled, so we will see if my oncologist is as well. She said that the treatment will probably still go as planned because we want to be cautious. Someone upstairs has been listening to all our prayers. Now it just needs to stay gone!

I had another good day at work and I felt great. Next week will be busy with bloodwork and my appointment with the oncologist on Monday. My 3rd round of chemo is on Wednesday. I'm sure I will get the Neulasta shot on Thursday and the boys have their check-ups on Friday, so very busy. Again thank you for all the prayers and support! We are definitely kickin' some cancer butt!!!!

Grandma and Roger are rejoying with the great news you received today. God led the Dr.s to the right drugs to kick the cancer in the butt. Oh how great the power of prayer is. We say thank you to him and continue to pray for everything to continue to heal. We love you all and think of you so often.

Nicole, I was so excited when I read your blog tonight. I heard your news a couple weeks ago through a mutual friend and was shocked. I have been praying for you each and every day. I hope that Brock and your newest addition are doing well. It does seem so strange seeing pic. of Brock being such a big boy! Although, I have a nearly 22 month old myself-seems like yesterday Brock was an infant at NBTTM. He is still soo darn cute! If you need anything at all-ANYTHING-daycare-free of charge-just a break from the kiddos-or anything, let me know. I am lic. in child care at home now-opening a center early spring-but would love to watch the boys for you if you have app. to go to. Gentle Hugs Anita

Nicole,
Thank you for sharing your story with me last week. I am amazed at your strength (you looked great too)! Like I said today when I seen you, I couldn't stop thinking about you all weekend. I am so happy that the results are great! Tanner, Conner and myslef will pray every night for you! Let me know if you need ANYTHING!

I would like to share a funny story. A good friend of mine and co-worker is also kick'n cancer butt right now. She was in Walmart looking at a package and bloop, drop from her nose..she asked her oncologist if a runny nose was a side effect from the drugs. He had explained that now that she has lost her hair, she has no nose hairs! That should be added to the good list about losing your hair - no worries about the stray nose hair!! Keep up the great attitude!
